Bob Fisicaro
Jon and I have known Bobby Fisicaro for about 13 years now and count him as a good friend to us both. I, Joe, first saw him play for Bishop Eustace when I was in the eighth grade. If I remember correctly, he led his team to victory over a tough Gloucester Catholic team. While at Eustace, he became he school’s all-time leading scorer, though he missed the majority of his senior year (his record has since been surpassed).
He began his college career at Rider University where he was an Academic All-American. After two years at Rider, he transferred to Philadelphia Textile (now Philadelphia University) where he played for Herb McGee and was named a Small College All-American. Following his college career, he played professionally in both Germany and Italy.
Jon and I spent countless summer-time hours playing and talking basketball with Bobby. The hours we spent in Rowan University’s Rec Center working out with him were, in my opinion, among the most important to our basketball development. The numerous one-on-one and two-on-two battles, not to mention our talks on the baseline between games, are some of my favorite memories as a player.
Bobby serves Crispin Basketball as a Camp Consultant. He has spent numerous hours helping players develop their basketball skills in both the personal and camp context. Though he is presently a School Principle in the Logan Township School District, he still loves teaching the game of basketball as well and is an invaluable help to us both.
