Change of Format

This blog/category began as “Tip of the Week.” I started it in order to learn some lessons myself by writing them down and to help others. Yet as time has gone by, I have realized that by calling it such, I have limited my options for commentary (and lessons) on the game. So I have made a change and am now calling this my basketball blog.

The name is pathetic I realize. Or at least not creative at all. But my creative energy right now is not exactly at its peak. If I am inspired with a new title (or if I am emailed one), I won’t have a problem giving up this weak title. But until then, this is Joe’s Basketball Blog. (Yes, don’t be shy with those suggestions!)

What’s my vision for it? Well, as I write, I think I will soon find out. For it oftentimes isn’t until you give yourself an outlet for thought that you realize all the many thoughts that want to find expression through writing. Said differently, you don’t really know what you want to write about until you give yourself a platform to write about whatever you wish. Well, this blog is limited to thoughts on hoops. But that’s about its only limitations. For it might include reflections on the current NBA playoffs or on my desire to actually watch the playoffs or on my playoffs or on my play. Or whatever really. You probably get the point. Anything even remotely related to hoops will find its expression here.

That’s all I really wanted to say for now. With my options now open, I am sure that I will be writing soon. For if you know me well (or even have met me for a minute), you probably realize that I have plenty to say about the great game of basketball.

Checking out for now,

Joe
